About
This map was initially created during Friday 23rd October 2020 to provide a way for people to find local offers of support being made to Marcus Rashford on Twitter and Facebook. Twitter user Anjali started curating a Google Sheet of those businesses offering support. We were later able to add All Of Us Together/TechForUK's Google Sheet too. Both are used to make the map and list on this page.
We load the data from both Google Sheets and look up the latitudes and longitudes for the postcodes. We use lookup data from the Office of National Statistics.
Alternatives
- FreeMeals.uk take the data from All Of Us Together and construct a list with a search.
- #AllKidsMatter make a Google Map that was mentioned in a BBC News article on Friday afternoon. It is not clear if the Sheet behind this map is available or if the data are being included in All Of Us Together/TechForUK's map.
